Brief Biography: : Danielle Coon is the Senior Manager, Supportive Services of the International Rescue Committee in Elizabeth, NJ. She oversees four teams of 38 staff who provide holistic support services including crisis and intensive case management, health, and mental health services to thousands of humanitarian entrants, refugees and asylees every year. Prior to this role, she was the Associate Director of a conflict resolution center at Teachers College, Columbia University where she co-wrote and published several peer-reviewed journal articles on DEIAJ initiatives in the workplace. Before moving to New Jersey in 2022, Danielle was the Resettlement Manager of the International Rescue Committee’s NY office, provided property management services for low-income senior citizens on the Upper West side with Project FIND, and worked with Habitat for Humanity in Ecuador. Originally from Arizona and New Mexico, Danielle lives in Montclair, NJ with her partner and 14-year-old son who recently started playing Ultimate Frisbee. She ran her first triathlon last year and is now a medal-carrying ‘Jersey Girl’.
